Doesn't sound good to me, and for some reason I can't access the cfars website while I vacation in Japan. Also, I still do not see the charge in my credit statement from the atf for the ffl03. Hoping I didn't get denied because I forgot something. Because that's the only reason I could think of for them denying my application.

I just received that same email a few minutes ago. Logged in to check what it was and my COE was approved and ready to download/print.

Logged into CFARS and the COE was there tonight. So less than two weeks from electronic submital. No email notice yet though. But it was there.

That's why I originally applied in 2010 before the 9th tossed the ammo ban portion of AB962.
Was glad to have it when in 2012 visiting my parents in Texas, mom handed me grandpa's 1903.
Still the only C&R in my bound book.

FFL03 app mailed out on 12/28, COE just submitted online. I will update accordingly as things progress.

For those in the Sac/EG area, I recommend the UPS store off Elk Grove Blvd and 99 for livescan. $91 OTD and processed within 5 minutes. They mentioned they were getting hit hard with livescan requests, so don't wait too long if you're considering it.

FFL03 mailed 11/21/17. Still no word or charge on my CC. New FFL if that matters. Anyone else submit within my timeframe who has received theirs? I know the holidays have probably stalled the process as well as the influx of CA applicants. Just wondering since this thread hasn't had much word.

I think you should give them a call. Sounds like they didn't receive your application. My check was cashed in one week although I am still waiting after 8 weeks for the 03.

I did everything at the ups store and I had them use the cheapest option of mailing the letters, which I believe is snail mail.

I'm mainly interested in whether or not you tracked the letter yet. If you sent via UPS, I would think some form of tracking exists, but I'm not familiar with mailing letters through them. Keep us posted.

On another note, I hope you're enjoying Japan. Besides the obvious cuisine, I miss Kushi Katsu and their McDonald's of all things. Ebi Filet-O (Real Shrimp Filet) for the mother humpin win!

When I spoke with one of the document examiners previously, they said that it takes 10 days or so for any mail to even reach them once it actually gets delivered due to screening; so even if tracked and signed for, it may not have actually reached it's final destination.

Oh I an loving Japan very much. The food is insane and I've had the chance to enjoy some very fine single malt as well. Today I tried wagyu beef for the first time and it was absolutely delicious. Also, I am a sushi fanatic and mediocre sushi here outclasses most of what you can get in the US. Funny that you brought up McDonald's, because I have eaten there twice during my trip. I usually go for the double cheeseburger and big Mac, but my GF loves the shrimp burger you mentioned. It's crazy how fast they are at making it too. It's going to be sad leaving here, but I can't wait to hit the range and eat a Philly cheese steak. Cheers!

COE app submitted on 1/2, issued yesterday 1/4 and received the notification early this morning. Still no activity on my credit card for my 12/28 FFL03 submission. I sent via certified mail, tracking shows delivered on 12/31.

UPDATE 0930: Now showing a pending credit card charge for FFL03. So roughly 8 days (including weekend/holiday) for FFL03 approval, and 2 days for COE.
