COE was less than 2 weeks!

Got it today. FFL03 was almost two months to the day since the check was cashed.

Mailed Both COE and FFL03 on Jan 11th, got my COE on the 23rd of Jan. Still haven't heard jack squat from ATF, just went to bank and checked the status of the check I sent and it still hasn't been cashed. Wondering if I should put a stop to check and mail out new form and check?

I sent my FFL 03 Application in on January 24th. About a week later, I had fraudulent activity on the credit card I included on my application and my credit card account was closed. As the ATF had not yet charged the credit card, I sent them an email telling them what had happened and asked how I could get a new credit card number to them to go with my application. I received a prompt reply telling me that once my application was pulled from "the bank," they would contact me for a new credit card number. The fact that they have a bank of applications tells me that they are experiencing something of a backlog right now. My application still has not made it out of the bank, as I have not yet been contacted for new payment information.

Judging by other people's timelines, had I done everything right I would have received the licence by now. As of last week, their Georgia office still hasn't cashed my check. I don't even know how long I'll be waiting for. What if it got lost in the mail? Take it from me kids, make sure you've done everything right before you submit.

I didn't know they had a number to be contacted on, I searched for a moment and only found a email address.
But that's all moot now, my bank put a stop on the check for some reason. The clerk couldn't give me a reason either.

You could probably wait a month before applying for the COE and it will still arrive first. Seems the time for COE is about 7-14 days.
