I regretted buying my Persian Mauser, said no one, ever.

98/29 = The Cadillac of all Mausers.

Don't get excited I haven't seen a Persian 98/29 go for less than $750 thats in good shape, and that's out of state so tack on shipping, sales tax, and $50-75 in the DROs fee.

Moral of the story is, if its a C&R you have moderate interest in for a good price, buy it.

Agh that is a bit on the pricey side for me. You think there going to have a very good selection of Mausers at the gun show next Month in deal mar?

If every other California gun show I ever attended is any indication, pretty unlikely, and if there is, it will be overprices by 50-100%.

Bobby, your humor and sentiments go a long way with the young C&R collecting crowd. I burst out laughing when I read this.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned that there are a few Mausers (and K31) in the C&R marketplace right now that are worth a look. They're not pristine rainbow unicorns, but they look to be honest shooters at fair prices.

Yeah, but the free ammo was corrosive and the Hitler's Youth knife had been sharpened.

Amen, the only thing I have found at the gun show in the last few years is beef jerky. Whats hilarious is that I see the same guns at the same vendors. When they don't sell, they still mark up the price. Someone was selling a garden variety mosin refurb for $425 at the last crossroads show I went to in SF.

I'd pass on it at that price. You can find better than that for $480.

Del Mar is known for offering an overwhelming selection of affordable K98 and maybe one or two forlorn, overpriced AR-15.
