DJDace relax man, wewex made a very good point on this being a pictrure thread, the vato ROCK'S!!!

BTW It especially helps if the pictures are of your own rifles.

One of my reg'd Colt's. Except for the OD furniture (added in 2004), it's been in this config since 1997 when it started out with KAC rail panels, an overmolded Ergo grip and a first generation Colt fiberite collapsible stock.

Preban Colt MT6601 Sporter Match HBAR in 1997, $900
Complete Colt LE6920 conversion upper, $400
Complete Colt milspec fiberite collapsible stock assembly, $135
    Complete Bushmaster lower assembly, $150
Sell Mt6601 upper on Bushmaster lower assembly in 1999, $1200
Total cost for an all Colt preban rifle by 1999, $385

That doesn't include the cost of having the bbl cut down to 14.5", a fixed Phanton flash suppressor, GG&G flip up front sight, KAC RAS, KAC AN/PAQ-4C mount, Magpul rail panels, Aimpoint Comp M, GG&G QD Aimpoint mount, GG&G QD ITT 6015 mount, Magpul MIAD grip, Vltor single point sling receiver end plate, Wilderness single point sling QD, Vltor carbine modstock, Norgon Ambi-Catch, Colt single stage match trigger, Wilson Combat bolt catch and Stag ambidextrous safety selector.

First and foremost, I really don't want to *again* make this thread a flame-war or "discussion"...

The difference between mine and the post that i was complaining about "wewex" is, as grammaton has pointed out, that I want a parts description of the rifle in the pic. (Many others had done it nicely -posting the pic and posting the parts list, for the benefit of the viewers)

      I *assumed*: 20" barrel, w/ mid-length gas system, rifle length HG (12"), Spike's 5.5" CAR slip-on can.

Many had been asking about how to put something like this together.

verse, his.... was asking about "particular information" that does not relate to the particular picture, and it was a general question about the functionality of an item (which had been thru 1000s of time, and a simple "search" will tell you everything you ever wanted to know).

And these were MY words, in response to his query about "benefit of RRA 2 stage trigger", this wewex's post's purpose is all for "flaming" me *sigh*:

Yet, in the spirit of this thread, some historic pictures.... these are back in late 2005:

Lastly, TechTed, your rifle ROCKS still.... after seeing so many in this 126 pages thread....

Let's create a new thread, with pictures and parts list per post, and no comments. Any post without pics gets deleted. What do you say?

          Hi there JickoRicko,

Thank you for the compliments. I have the following components:

          - 18" Compass Lake Engineering Stainless Barrel with Mid-length gas system.
          - Rifle length YHM Lightweight free float tube.
          - Spike's fake can.

And just to satisfy Wewex, here is the picture of my rifle again...

            +1

This vato again?? Gave up posting pics of other vatos' cohetes as your own??

            BTW, beautiful rifle TechTed!

In keeping with the spirit of this thread, heres my like new Robinson M96 Expeditionary. No evil features, that's a pinned Wilson Combat brake. Next up is an ACE tubestock, maybe an ACE folder for those trips to the AZ. I may try to modify an MMG to fit this nose-heavy beast. Maybe Robinson will finally release those promised beltfed kits, huh?? .... Thanks to that vato rssslvr for the heads up.

We may want to start a new thread "Let's see some CA-Legal Self Loading Rifle's Actions"..... and it for "action shots" only.... tactical matches.... range action.... long range shot groups.... .etc...

                    That's a good idea...

No. The splashback which embedded itself in my cornea after slipping past my eyewear, actually sliced through my contact lens first. That's a soft lens though, maybe a hard lens would be a little better. Or it'd shatter and embed glass in your eye.
