              latest reincarnation of mine:

Sorry about the background... It was the only place in the backyard with good light and I was trying to minimize the lethality of the rifle.

Yes it will completely block it's view. Look at the centerline of the scope and draw it out.
And God said \"taketh your rifles, all of ye, all but those unto the nation of California, for exempt must their rifles be and the resth are forlorn.\" So sayth the Lord.

you are wrong...you cant tell at all.... Only low magnification would get bothered by the front sight. Why would i have it on there if i couldnt see out of it?

It is definitely SD look done right.

So, can you please post the length of your barrel, and the length of your HG? (Make and model helps too)

                      I *assumed*: 20" barrel, w/ mid-length gas system, rifle length HG (12"), Spike's 5.5" CAR slip-on can.

Many had been asking about how to put something like this together.

JickoRicko, this is supposed to be a "pic" thread. When I see that there is a "new post" in this thread... I expected that when I click into it, I'll see some "eye candies" rather than a question/discussion.... if you want to "ask a question about something", start another thread (and before that.... SEARCH... first)

Eh, it's a pic thread with descriptions of what the rifle is. Jicko's asking for a level of clarification which many folks have included with their pictures to begin with. He's not out of line.

Side note, I'm not a fan of huge "pic threads" like this. 125+ pages? Personally I'd rather see quarterly new pic threads, than one monolithic monster. But that's just me.

what's out of line is wewex quoting exactly what jicko wrote in an earlier post from this thread.

Ah, I see. Eh, you're better off using the [quote ] tag around stuff like that in the future, wewex... thought you were the original author just now.

He was trying to be sarcastic and failing miserably. It's what happens when you come off as an over enthusiastic ball of uncontrolled energy and step on the wrong toes. You over compensate by trying to point out mistakes made by the people that spurned you.
