Well, here it is. My first AR build. Just got back from breaking her in. She is indeed, my new love.











Lower receiver is from Kaiser Defense's CalGuns.net state version made right here in San Diego, Ca. Rock River Arms lower parts kit used.



Quick specs: Stag 2HT complete upper on the aforementioned lower receiver.
I went ahead and ordered a few goodies to upgrade already. Ergo pistol grip, Magpul MOE trigger guard, Yankee Hill carbine sling adapter and I'm going to try out a knock off of the ACOG TA31. Can't wait for that too!

How much in total was spent putting this rifle together? Easily duplicated? My husband was looking into buying a rifle from dpms or stag assembled and ready to go, as well was advised by a retail to buy one of their signature rifles.

But he would really want to build his own rifle. How hard to assemble? Did you use an online guide?

Building is easy. Most AR's can be built for around $1100-$1500 depending on components. Even for high end manufactuers like Daniel Defence they go from $1150-$1550.

If your spending more you should be getting a high end brand like Noveske or LWRC.

Took me a while....here are my rifles!



The rifle underneath is my fave now (even moreso than my 6.8), it's a 16.1" VTAC upper as built by Noveske. The upper rifle is not much of a big deal, a Stag Arms carbine upper.
