Great place to shoot, designated by the NV BLM for such uses. 15 min. from Las Vegas and the CA border off the I-15. My buddy discovered it after his son's Boy Scout troop needed a place to clean up for one of their community service projects. They clean up all the large items of trash every now and then so the free people of NV can go shooting and offroading in a relatively safe environment. So. Kal. used to have an abundance of places like this up until the early 90's. Good luck finding one now....

one of my cali ars.......i have a couple more ill past later, plus im working on a carbine length build right now. just waiting for the upper and wilson barrel, and a whole grip of extra goodies
ive done alot of OD green paint jobs. krylon makes the best camo paint, and their OD green is spot on military OD....you not supposed to have to, ut i always hit it with a matte sealant to keep wear down on it. works wonderfully.
the gun above was factory teflon black, then i hit the furniture with OD,played with that awhile, then got tired of it and hit it with black again. the black i used was actually a brand ( cant remeber which right now) of plastic dashboard/upholstery spray paint......its VERY tough, dries VERY fast, and pretty much duplicates the factory teflon finish on receivers, or the black that AR furniture is originally( even though the spray isnt teflon...lol)...did i mention its VERY tough?....
if anyone is interested, i can check the brand and post it.Last edited by LongRangeShootin; 11-04-2009, 2:32 PM.Comment

Most civilization is based on cowardice. It's so easy to civilize by teaching cowardice. You water down the standards which would lead to bravery. You restrain the will. You regulate the appetites. You fence in the horizons. You make a law for every movement. You deny the existence of chaos. You teach even the children to breathe slowly. You tame.

Nice rifle, but from looking again at the shoes do you not know left from right? or did you really have to go to the bathroom when you took the pic?
I don't like it here anymore, but my wife won't move out of state

Very nice rifles in here.
My 10-day wait is over for my lower as of tomorrow. Woot for my first build!!
I will have pics by the afternoon.Originally posted by tikiI love it. If he ever gets jumped in an alley, he'll come back with:
After I beat their fists to a pulp with my face and stomach, I pounded thier feet with my testicles and kidneys until they left with only my watch, wallet and keys. But I didn't tell them where my car was parked and I didn't have any cash in my wallet so I taught them a lesson.Comment

I suck at taking pictures, but here's my latest:
Calguns lower
DPMS upper w/ bull barrel
CAA grip
RRA LPK
RRA Operator stock
EOTech 557 w/ 3x magnifier
10/20 mag
Bullet button
It's a bit front heavy but we'll see how she does at the range. I may eventually put a scope on and move the EOTech setup over to a new, lighter build.

Here she is with her bigger brother.

Temporary bipod. My Caldwell from my Kel-tec SU-16 doesn't fit right on the bipod stud. I'll have to look at a Harris.
