    I need a LIFE!!

Ha! Had that happen to me too. If you already have a trigger guard in place...leave it the hell be! Only try and install a Winter guard on a fresh lower, without the guard installed or you risk this happening...a lesson a lot of us have learned the hard way. Boy does that suck! I SOOOOO feel your pain (I think I did cry)!

If the looks do not bother you then just pickup a Magpul MIAD Full Grip Kit. It comes with a built in winter trigger guard. That way it will still be usable. You can pretty much forget about trying to glue it back on. That's what I did until I could afford a new lower. I just put on a Magpul MIAD Grip. So don't get rid of it...either use it as a backup beater or trade it to somebody who needs it in exchange for something you need. Someone here will want it.

I eventually gave the lower to a friend (DROS'd it) because he could not afford the full price of a rifle (4 kids and a lousy job). I also gave him a CMMG upper I had in exchange for some help on a few other projects. Yes, it is good to be friends with somebody who sells this stuff! No you can't be my friend (unless you're 21-30, petite, pretty and a woman)! Ok you can be my friend, but I ain't giving you a free rifle! :-)

Again, sorry that happened to you!

Finally found the camera. This one is my version of the transition from the Colt 607 to the XM177. I have a 10/20 straight magazine in there now.

Thanks J, yeah no more Muzzle Break for me. I did not like the feeling of the air and amonia from my cheap Wolf ammo kicking me in the face I also switched out the scope for the Bushnell Red Dot as well and also removed the bipod. I like it better in the more tactical and functional configuration. That's the way it was supposed to be from the begining, but my imagination and wallet said different

I am still waiting for the scope mounts to come in for the scope, but I am going to use it with the .22 dedi-upper I have instead

Awesome! I am in the process of switching one of mine over to a lighter more tactical setup also. It was supposed to be that way when I started building it but I got a little carried away!

I would imagine someone would pay good money for that muzzle brake in the market place!

LOL, I had an almost identical brake on mine for a few trips to the range. That design of brake does not seem to be particularly suited for shooting from the prone position. When shooting over dirt, I got covered in dust and even small small rocks kicked back by that thing. When shooting over grass or vegetation, it would throw chunks of salad back in my face. The brake was very effective though

I've since swapped it out for one of the new POF brakes. Much more pleasant to shoot from prone, and without the giant whoooosh of air and gas to part your hair either Not quite as effective at recoil reduction, but still makes for some very fast recovery times between shots.

Can you give some details on what pieces you put into this gem?
