With a Saiga, to take standard AK handguards, you have to do either:
A. a full front end conversion, which either takes a decent amount of cash or tooling, or
B. A bolt on conversion, which some people look down upon.
So once you add that on top of all the conversion parts needed, you are looking either damn close to the same price, or higher.
So cost can be a factor with that. You end up spending a bit more, especially with how saigas are priced lately.
Also, I personally like the look of the combo gas blocks. Granted this is a Draco conversion, and trying to allocate money for the SBR stamp.
