There's always a reason. They don't just blacklist people because of a simple problem from their end. Call and find out. I never had a problem with their products or service and will keep shopping there in the future.

No shoes, no shirt = no service

Those BCM BCG are popular and are SOLD OUT.

I'd be willing to bet there is another side to this story.

It's a seller's market. They can afford to do it.

I deal with rude, incosiderate, and stupid customers every day. There is no way in hell i would ever tell them to **** off because they justifiably wanted a return on a defective item (whether the item was actually defective or not) its obvious that since the original issue was back in 2010 and its now 3 years later that a different upper solved the issue... so to you people claiming the problem is elsewhere, think about what your saying before you say it!
The reason customer service is important can be illustrated in threads like this. Anyone here own their own business that relies on customer service?
                      1 customer = (on average) 5 friends...
If that 1 customer has a bad experience, you just lost 5 potetial customers, and who knows... maybe another 25 when they tell their friends.
In my town i have heard 3rd hand about bad experiences from other businesses... why would i go there?
you don't rise to the occasion,
you just fall back on your level of training.

So I sold the lower and bought a BCM lower. But still had the same problem. So they graciously said I could send it back for a full refund. I thought my product experience was just that of a "lemon", but their customer service the entire time was excellent. So I am doubly surprised at their response today.

                              Details here:

Were these 20 round pmags? They've been known to do that, also the bolt not locking back sounds like a short cycling issue. Was the bolt well lubricated? I've had this exact issue only with 20 round pmags (blocked to 10) and an almost dry bcg. Lube fixed the issue. The ss cproduct mags worked fine in the gun. I suspect it was short cycling since it wasn't holding the bolt open on the last round.
