You can get an Angle Grinder from Kragen for $13 if you really wanted to cut them up.

Does Ohio Rapid Fire still sell AK103, AK101, and AK74 parts kits to CAians?

Do they sell the finished, bent, or drilled receivers with their parts kits, or do you have to make your own?

Looking for a fun toy that I can beat up without feeling bad for doing it

I would get rid of F/A parts, just because I have no use for them. (That is until they make it legal again-hopefully soon)

My kit did come with those parts. I wrapped em up individually and threw em in the trash.

Uh... you guys ever heard of P.A. Luty?

Every hardware store in the country is guilty of constructive possession.

No, but Google just told me who he is.

Those hardware stores sure do have a lot of washers and pipe...

almost every kit sold comes with f/a fcg. romys usually lack the disconnector because the G rifles had the ear ground off (semi only). afaik, the only state that prohibits f/a parts is wa. this has been discussed ad nauseum on other websites, there are 2 schools of thought, constuctive possesion vs. scrap metal. the other veiwpoint holds that w/o the 3rd hole and slotted rail, there is no m.g. . there was even one semi rifle imported and sold with the extra dimple for the autosear axis and a slotted rail. grinding the hammer and bolt carrier is unecessary, professional builders don't do this and they're licensed. save your money for meteor insurance.
you shouldn't immediatly soil yourself WHEN you find the f/a parts in your kit. some vendors remove them to avoid problems shipping to wa. . keep or destroy as you see fit. a semi reciever has no provision to install them without cutting and drilling, which is why the semi reciever is legal in the first place.

Being new to the AK arena, and researching all the pertinent data, I was glad to find this info. The offending parts(which were included with my kit) have been destroyed and disposed of properly.

Even though it's about a year late, thanks Oaklander! Having this stuff laying around would be a really lousy reason to get in trouble!

I was really looking forward to the girl in the bikini displaying the offending parts though...

Once again, the Calguns community comes through!
If it ain't broke, keep fixin' it 'til it is...

BTW-if you destroyed yours and have second thoughts these "illegal" parts are available from kvar or on gunbroker to name just a couple of sources.
most constuctive possesion hysteria can be traced directly to broad interpretation of that same stupid sten letter.

GREAT! now some liberal hippie dumpster diver is going to have the parts to make his/her AK FA! All i have to say is what were you thinking.

Figured i would bump this with the BP this week and its getting linked a few places. It might catch someones eye. It might also help Oaklander self esteem about his posts.
