hey guys, new here, been researching alot on here and other forums, i am building a mega ma-ten and using the knowledge i have found to help me make good decisions as far as part selection, so thanks. i found the raddlock on here and liked the design, ordered it up and dry fitted it while waiting for some other parts to arrive, noted the lock sticks out quite a bit, i have an o-ring under it and it sits on the shelf in the lower and protrudes out maybe 3 o-ring widths? seems like abnormal protrusion? has anyone done this combo and have any advice? thanx

I have 3 Radlock configured rifles and havenot seen this unless it was positioned in the featureless build mode as I call it.
Did you tighten the little screw on the radlock all the way down so it was in the California Compliant mode? Almost sounds like its in the featureless or out of state mode possibly. Can you push the button and release a mag in its current position?Do you know what happened 158 years ago this fall...back in 1850 ?
-California became a state, The people had no electricity, The state had no money, Almost everyone spoke Spanish, There were gunfights in the streets.

Thats the way its supposed to be..
Kinda looks goofy I know but it still beats the hell out of any other bullet button.Comment

thanx guys, i am merely dropping the radlock into the release hole and it is setting on the bottom of the release hole in the lower, my initial thoughts were the hole is not milled deep enough the allow the raddlock to set down flush, but, didn't want to machine anything without asking first, anyone see a problem with dropping the seat in the reciever to allow the raddlock to drop in to the o-ring depth?
edit: actually looks like 2 o-ring depth 1/16"- 1/8" needed to remove or so..Last edited by smeagle; 02-13-2011, 11:27 AM.Comment

I don't know what a mega ma-ten is, but for a standard OLL that the radlock was designed no milling/machining is required. The o-ring is to protect the finish of the OLL and when in the CA compliant mode, it should be slightly compressed. When Featureless or out-of-state, then there will be a gap below/above the o-ring.Comment

Sounds like the Mega MA-Ten receiver mag release button well is a bit shallow than standard AR-10.
You can try disable the position two function by not using the included spring in this install. This should allow the AR Raddlock to seat flush. But it will only function in Position One.Attached FilesPRK Compliant Devices:

Interesting, mine isn't flush at all on the TM-308 lower. In fact I recall it being a pretty tight fit when I was putting it together. Never bothered me though...
You can ditch the O-ring if you don't plan on shooting it out of state though. It's only there to prevent scratches should you use it in a featureless condition or out of state.Beretta PX4 Storm .40 S&W (Round Count 3,050) | Yugo M72 | Romy M44

There were several flavors to choose from, regular, hot cinnamon, or bacon. Im a man of danger so I chose Hot cinnamon to use with my bump fire buttstock.Comment
