Congrats on the rifle. The manequine, all kidding aside, provides you with an awesome opportunity for training. I'm not kidding. Look up some of Loui Awerbucks writings on curved targets. Try some pistol work from say 10 yards and have the target facing u sideways to see how small the torso is. Also face the torso to you and then shoot as you move to the side so you can learn where to hit without it being too shallow. After doing some of that, put some clothes on it, especially baggy jackets or a big hoody sweatchirt on his head to see how that can complicate hitting targets. After doing the pistol work, you could do similar w the rifle. Pls report back after doing this as u will learn tons of stuff.

I was finally able to get to the range today. I had family over so I had to be quick. I slapped together 60 rounds to test pressure, not so much accuracy. Im realy digging this rifle. I wish you guys could all hold and play with it in person.

Here are the 1st 9 shots through the rifle (I only had 9 rounds of 168 FGMM). I fired them all off pretty fast.





Im pretty happy with it. Not bad for a chrome lined gun. It will be accurate enough for my purposes

More load development to come. I found out that my powder thrower is being pretty inconsistent so this may accound for those 5th round fliers. Although the fliers on the 168s may have been the 1st round of the mag... so maybe its just one of those semi-auto 1st round issues.

Wow, sweet groups. It definately has a lot of potential, I can't wait to see what some tailored handloads will do in that rifle. Looks like the 178 is the tightest of your handloads, with vertical stringing, maybe a better powder system (using a trickler) will cut that group in half.

Nice rifle, if the gun rags speak the truth, you should shoot Radway Green through it, it's still supposed to shoot MOA with it.
