Ruger 9mm takedown that can accept Glock mags

picked mine up today.
mounted my burris FF3 to it already. i mounted in the rear most position as it felt the most natural to me.
the big mag release button from taccom is something i will need, and also the larger charging handle.
i'm still deciding what muzzle brake to get. some videos out there does show a reduction in vertical recoil with the brake on. which will help in making fast double shot in uspsa.
oh and bag choice. deciding between a compact case or a full length. since while at matches, you have to store the gun in the bag, getting a compact case means half the gun will be always out.

For full length cases, the 10/22 case fits like a glove

Just out of curiosity, has this ever actually happened? Or is it just something that's been declared to be a legitimate risk and then repeated hundreds, if not thousands, of times on the internet? Has anyone ever actually been arrested because of a false interpretation of a legal muzzle brake by an LEO anywhere in the state of California?Anchors Aweigh

I can't put my finger on a actual case where this happened but have read a few threads on this forum about people having their gun confiscated because it had a suppressor. Those threads may be for AR rifles
I did however contact a supplier of a "advertised" muzzle brake for the PCC and they replied that they will not ship to CA because their device is considered both a muzzle brake & flash suppressor. With that said there were a few low $ ones that clearly looked like suppressors but were advertised as brakes
I chose not to be the Beta user and find out the hard way at a range where DOJ or other LEO does a fly by for violations. You get 10 LEO's and there will be at least 3-4 different interpretations of a given gun law
After shooting the gun for 1000's of rounds, to me, it does not need a muzzle brake
Maybe for people who use the PCC in competition events where a brake makes it easier for the timer to hear.....but for the person shooting next to a guy with one at range, PIAComment

Link to those threads of people having rifles confiscated for FLASH SUPPRESSORS?Comment

LOL, guys in competition don't put them on so the timer can hear. They put them on because a hundredth of a second could make the difference between winning and losing.Comment

Some people see threads and they HAVE TO install something there. Free country. Do what you want.
I'd prefer a solid non-threaded barrel if I was seriously worried about it. If you are not installing anything I would rather not have the end of my barrel milled away. I'd rather a real crown. YMMV.Comment

It did NOT blow through the tape.
If you watch my video above, it looks like a lot of discharge coming from the comp, but again...no real pressure to work the comp.
I did in fact put the comp on my PCC's for the shot timer. Without, they are very quiet and if the RO is not right on top of you/the carbine, then it can miss shots.
I shoot USPSA and have shot in PCC division since they started it a few years ago. LOTS of fun.

I found no recognizable recoil benefit to a muzzle brake on the Ruger PCC. My split times are the same with as without. I installed mine purely to increase the sound signature so the shot timer could pick up my shots during USPSA competitions. Without it, the shot timer obviously didn't pick up shots."Show me a young conservative and I'll show you a man without a heart.
