Ordered mine online at Sportsman's Warehouse and it shipped to my local Santa Rosa store in 2 days. Non-threaded model.

does a muzzle brake make that much difference on a 9mm carbine. deciding to either pick up a nonthreaded barrel soon or wait it out for a threaded barrel

Not from what I hear - that said, I'll be getting the threaded barrel for when I escape the PRK to Idaho and can use a Suppressor!

I appreciate all the excitement in this thread. I have the PCC in the safe, have not shot it yet. The LGS where I bought it was nice enough to swap the mag adapter out for me. That railed real estate screams for some sort of optic, so I am going to try out a low mount Vortex Sparc II with it.

I tried inserting a host of different Glock magazines (Factory, Magpul, Korean, ETS) and all inserted easily and dropped freely. Assuming the weapon will feed hp ammo reliably, it would make a formidable HD weapon.

According to PCC competition shooters the right brake does make a difference although not as dramatic as a 223/556 rifle. From what I've read the right brake will mitigate some dot movement.

Yup for some people that's common sense and for some it is first-hand knowledge. Some people just don't want one or don't want to spend the money so they say " awwww, I feel like it doesn't do anything".

A little muzzle-flip reduction (OR A LOT) to make something shoot completely flat and create a perfect view without your reticle jumping or dot moving where you have to wait for the blur or vibration to clear up in the sight picture is really noticeable to most anyone IMHO. This would help in doing something cool like stacking double-taps at 25 yards.

another benefit to the comps for PCC is to make it louder so the shot timers can pick it up without having the RO stand right on your butt.

New type of magazine release lever for Ruger PC, can be done without removing right hand from the stock. Made by Taccom.

You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.

                          why wouldn't it be?

uspsa pcc class is literally unlimited in terms of mods. it is treated currently the same as open class for pistols. whatever you want to do, you can do it.

the only thing they won't allow now is pistol brace equipped guns. so either get an actual legal carbine, or for those out of state, pony up for the SBR tax stamp to keep the short barrel.

I wonder if Ruger is going to bring out a model that's not a takedown.

I don't know of any problems with takedowns, but I don't need it and would rather not have a takedown.

                              Anyone heard anything?

who knows. i feel like the takedown version is superior since when you have to clean the barrel, you would have to break it down anyways, and that was the weak spot in the 10/22's. the V-Block that holds the barrel in always start to droop or some people over torque it or under screw it leaving it loose.

with the takedown, one can consistently remove the barrel and re-attach it and it will always have the correct tension.
