If you thinking for home defense, I would get a Holosun HS403A
50 000 hours battery life, and motion awake function.

Mine has held up for a few years on an AK and is still on the original battery.

Thanks but I will be mainly using it at Jackson Arms which is a 75 yard indoor range

I really like the reviews on a Burris FastFire III Red Dot Reflex Sight, w/ Optional Picatinny Mount

The trs-25 is great. I have 2 of them . It's awesome value for range use. For home defense I want my red dot always on, and ready to go without turning it on

I tried tonight and it fits fine. I was able to get both the 22 takedown AND the 9mm takedown in there. No room for anything else on the inside but it'll work great for going to the range.

SIG Romeo 5 also has motion detect switch off, and a lifetime warranty. There's a youtube of a guy torture-testing one and it came through fine.

Some have a theory that Holosun is the OEM for that one, although I can't prove it.

Both my FF3's came with PIC mount in the box, unlike RMR's which came with nothing and even had to buy seal / screw kits to mount on MOS system Glocks. No covers or anything either. Trijicon doesn't give you jack tish extra.

You won't need a mount for the TRS-25 - it should be a low PIC mount on it for the standard non-AR model, where if you mount on an AR and want lower 1/3 you'd have to get a riser mount like an $8 UTG or LEAPERS. IIRC I have one on a riser mount on AR22 and one on the PIC mount on a .22 pistol - they are OK, but the Vortex Crossfire RDS is closer to a SPARC so far (great). Crossfire's come with AR mount on it and a low PIC mount in the box too.

Crufflers how do you like the TRS-25 with low picatinny mount in terms of a cheek weld? I plan on throwing a spare Holosun on it which should be the same height.
