WRT 10mm, don't hold your breath. Too much power for a blowback. The weighted bolt may help with bounce, but probably not with controlling the initial rear movement of the bolt. The best chance for a 10mm is in a gas gun like the Mini-14. Lobby Ruger for that, not the PC Carbine.

Ah, I see. I guess time will tell. Ruger has a way of just ambushing us with new product releases without any prior lead-up or teasers. I wouldn't be surprised if they do add more calibers within a few months.Comment

One for every family member is what I foresee. This is a natural rifle to move up to for kids trained on the 10/22 as they grow up. And it’s ready for Appleseed out of the box, just add the sling.
Great job IMO Ruger!Comment

They worked on it for at least two years, I think they already know. Were you on the development team ?Comment

What's the difference between a dead blow blow-back and a delayed blow-back setup? You must know if you are telling us Ruger cannot possibly make a 10mm work on this new platform

I had mentioned a couple pages back that if you load up some semi wadcutters for the nice clean holes they create, this would be a really nice Appleseed rifle because those big 9mm holes would help eke out a few more points on those AQT targets...Comment

Maybe Jeff Quinn was on the team too... he actually says at 00:20+
"It is a blow-back, but it is delayed... it uses a multi-piece bolt in there to cancel out its own recoil... bolt isn't slamming into the receiver all the time..."
Maybe he shoulda said "dead blow" but at least he's shot the damn thing, heheh.Comment
