I’ve not shot this as night, but I’d bet there’s not a whole lot of flash from the 16” barrel.

I did a search for that one for $ comparison. A lower $ site said can't ship to CA because it also is considered a "flash hider".

I also found several "compensators" for $30 that looked exactly like a $13 "flash hider" I saw

So what a LEO (DOJ) considers a "compensator" may be grey area for some of these

From my understanding a "flash hider/suppressor" is a no but "compensators" or Muzzle brakes" are yes. Having a LEO know the difference between them may prove to be the problem.

          Pretty much none.

The only reason I put a comp on mine was to make it louder for the shot timer to pick up.
Without it, 9mm's with 16" barrels are quiet.

There are many runaway threads on the issue. Different people have different comfort zones. The fact that VG6 makes the brake + flash hider version (Epsilon) and the brake only version (Gamma) is good enough for me.

I will put rounds through the PC9 before any changes. IDK if a Compensator is something of benefit for a 9mm rifle. I don't feel my AR15 needs one and I rapid fire it with good grouping

Maybe if I did competition shooting with the PC9 it would help on target re-acquisition

From being around other people using them...their guns are quite a bit louder...which isn't anything I would want

With a more traditional form factor, GLOCK magazine capability and a threaded barrel option, for the money The Ruger PC Carbine is hard to beat.It is fun, useful accurate and, when paired with a quality silencer, quiet.Much like the 10/22 platform, Ruger has left the PC Carbine with room for upgrades made by innovative companies.

$90? For $60 more you can get the PMM foregrip which seems to offer a lot more value/versatility for the $, IMO.

                    Side note:
I used a UTG low profile mount QD to mount my red dot sight, and even though this is a cheap quality mount, there was one added advantage. The small rectangular cutout directly below the picatinny mount allows you to see the iron sights through that portion.

well this is the beginning days of accessories. so the prices will be high. i mean currently there is only this and the PMM that does anything with the fore-end. hopefully magpul is making a new stock for it by adapting their 10/22 takedown stock (which shouldn't be too much work to resize to fit).

once more and more companies jump on to build add-on parts, the costs should go down.

right now, it is still in the "first-adopter" phase of pricing for aftermarket costs.

That other one also includes a buttplate with a QD socket. The place people would want to mount any mlok stuff is on the front anyway.

Just got back from burro canyon with my new pc9. It fired flawlessly. Not very loud and it didn't jump off target by much. Nice groups. Love love love it.

So, what are you guys using for transport/storage when your PC isn't taken down?

The PCC fits (assembled) perfect in the 40" soft case the 10/22 uses.

My Gun is assembled in safe so I can either transport/carry it in the 10/22 case I have or this take-down case: (BTW, my PCC has 2 stock spacers and it fits in case)
