There are designs that interest me, all I'm guessing illegal or legally thin due to suppressor laws

the Modular Ultra Low Concussion Shrouded Rifle Muzzle Brake looks really interesting, and the guy's brake designs are really good in general, so I'd be likely to trust this product.

So, for featureless non-RAW, any linear comps that don't have illegal flash hiding/suppression?

I was getting a headache. Normally sheit doesn't bother me and I never complain.....

In researching many brakes, reviews say the bottom line is, if they work at all then they are loud and fire-breathing. Some very, very LOUD....and throw the lateral concussive gas 3-4 feet in each direction....e.g. SJC Titan, DPMS Miculek, Venom Defense, Precision Armament, and many other top brakes.

Seems at an outdoor range, we are going to be blasting our neighbor fairly violently all day long. Not only loud and concussive, these gases knock sheit over...and off tables, too.

Are there any good brakes....of course, non-flash hiding....that produce relatively low concussion? Or do you have to go with a thread protector if you want to be nice to your neighbor?

Otherwise, this may not go nicely....
      Fire-breathing like this?

Yup. My "outdoor range" is wiiiide open. At any given time the only people within eyeshot are my family or friends there with me.

Public ranges always make me nervous.

No. Outdoor ranges were fine between when HR3355 took effect in 1994 and when it sunset in 2004 with many black rifles sold in the interim with pinned & welded muzzle brakes.

Sometimes I wonder about the possible ill health effects of shooting next to a muzzle brake.

Not just the sound but the burst of gas containing who knows what.

              Breathe deeply….

Yes, it's gonna get louder. Took mt featureless to the range and 223 sounded like 308. Let another guy shoot it to get a feel for the Thorsden stock and he freaked out over the gas blowback on the first shot.

Assert your dominance and be louder than the person next to you. Invest in a Loudener. Be loud enough, and you might clear out the public range in two mags or less! Truly a safety device to behold.

                    Don't loud pipes save lives?

All linear comps here for years. Troy, BRT, Levang, keneti-tech, all of them work great.

If I want to clear adjacent lanes I'll use the AR pistol.

Are your linear comps Cali-legal for featureless non-flash hiding....or are you registering?

yeah, the KIES unit I linked to. Or any of similar design, where the front opening for the bullet is just over bullet diameter.

Well, does your wife have a nice ***? When you see some guy staring at her ***, give it a little tap while he's looking then look him in the eye like "oh yeah, I'll be tapping THAT tonight!"
