S&W does make a good upper but my Nordic uppers rule

id like to see what the action looks like without the shell.

I agree about conversions... I don't care for them. But how about comparing the M&P 15-22 to a dedicated complete AR22 upper??

Here is a pic installed on a lower. I would like to eventually put a free float handrail and remove the front sight to replace with a Magpul front sight.

I took this out the chiappa for the first time today. Shot about 300 rounds of Winchester, Remington and federal. Zero failures or issues. I was also able to have decent groupings at 100 yards with iron sights. Best $129 spent.

With the chiappa deal having come and gone, I went looking for a .22 bolt conversion.

Am I crazy, or did all the bolt conversions go from around $150 not too long ago to $250+ everywhere?

Was planning on using a cheap 1:9 upper so that I can still swap the bolt and fire 5.56, but wanted something I could plink with as well...

Call combat armory. My friend called last week to ask about the $129 upper. They had it and took his order over the phone. It arrived yesterday.

Some still sell the conversion bolts for about $140, but they are bundled with 25 round mags. Most sellers will not seperate that for a CA sale.

Nordic 22RB upper reviews / feedback?

Hi, does anybody have any feedback regarding the newer Nordic 22lr upper? I heard it is a redesign of an older model. I have only been able to find reviews for the old model, and only one or two about the new 22RB model.

I'm seriously considering this new upper, I want accuracy, a more true AR feel, all metal durability compared to the 15-22.

Nordic Components' 22RB Dedicated 22 Upper converts your AR15-pattern rifle into a dedicated 22 rimfire just by changing upper receivers.

                      Thanks

Why???? 10/22 is so much better. If u want, use a Archangel Stock.

I tried out a re-stocked 10/22- all that plastic on the free float handguard never really centers around the barrel correctly, and it's just not that durable. It also prevents a 'takedown' 10/22 from quickly coming apart for ease of transport.

AR style rifles are very easy to break down into two pieces. Additionally, an AR upper will allow me to mimic an AR centerfire model very closely and not feel like a toy.

                            I have a CMMG dedicated .22 upper.
Worked fine - until the original firing pin broke.
Since about that time, I've had no end of trouble with lite strikes, not setting off rounds.

The lower currently has Geissele SSA trigger which has a slightly heavier hammer than the DMR trigger, still not reliable. ALG enhanced milspec trigger was no better...
