I found these mags on joebob too. From what I read it should also be compatible. I'll test this out and then look for the redi-mag. I'm seeing people have mixed reviews about this upper so hopefully I don't have any issues with it. If it works great from the get go, I'll be ordering more magazines and the adapter.

My buddy was going to order one after I told him about it from combat armory but they no longer have it in stock.

Black dog is good but the sw mags are so much easier to load. 10 rounds is not really an issue but I hate loading my 28 round black dog mags. it is faster and easier for me to load the 50 round black dog drums. I will eventually get the redimag and change over to sw mags and drum towers.

I use black dog with my tac sol upper and have read this before. How are the s&w mags easier to load? Spring or follower or both?

        Thanks

they have a knob on the side you press down with your thumb as you load. pretty much a built in mag loader. the ar22 type mag loader is lousy

I bought a chiappa 22LR upper new (for $199) and have never had a problem with it. Definitely recommended for a budget build.
Guess they ran out. That page now shows an error.

Yeah, I was gonna order one for a buddy and they're out. For those of you that own this, have you tried the CMMG magazines with it? If so, how do you like it? I'm trying to not buy the redimag if I don't really need to.

10 round mags are not a problem to load. Squeezing in 28 rounds is not fun.

CMMG dedicated upper + reliability kit on a Spikes lower w/Blackdog mags. Super reliable, eats anything and is a blast!

You are so much better off with a 10/22 or a Marlin 795.

Disagree. They all have their merits. The biggest issue is trying to do too much on a budget.

Owned and shot several AR/.22 upper conversions.

S&W 15-22 is better than all of them.

Upper from combat armory arrived today. Looks refurbished I'm a sense there are a few scratches and some nicks. For $129 though I don't mind. Installed a Magpul rear sight I had. Now I just need to order some magazines so I can test it out.

Depends on what you want to do with your upper
I compete with mine so they are top end uppers
DMPS was about 400ish and my JPNC22 was 900.00

M&P 15-22 is the way to go. I've owned and shot many AR22 conversions, and the 15-22 beats them all.
