Yes it is...when you compare it to cheap Chinese and Filipino scopes.

60moa base? How far are you shooting? Both of my competition 50s have stock 20moa bases, NF NXSs and can be easily zeroed from 50 yards to 1 mile.

thats because we're not flying 50 cal bullets at high velocity. we're trying to fly 7mm, 30 and 338's out to a mile and with the 338 edge or lapua, that's like 60 MOA. we like to rainbow them in with 101 ft of drop at a mile

Even if I wanted to have that much elevation, I cant because my NF Competition scope has only 55 MOA of elevation adjustment.

hence, why I am looking at the Kahles...which has 25mil/85MOA of adjustment.

I am running a 90 MOA cant on my .338 Lapua and zero @ 100. It isn't a fast projectile, so it drops quite a bit.

As opposed to expensive Chinese scopes?

Have you looked through a recently made NF? The contrast is on par with the best German glass. I have both.

That is a poor choice of a scope, you are severely limiting yourself with 10x on the top end.

On my list of things I would love to buy at the moment, is a custom 338LM rifle built around a dbm-fed Badger 2013 with a USO ER-25.

But I don't have that kind of cash at the moment, so that's on the far back burner.

Guys, the MV of .338L is about the same as the optimal MV for 50 cal Amax bullets. The bullet drop is also similar.

I wasn't comparing it to a 50. I simply run 90 MOA since it's of no loss with the scope I use. 70 MOA is a nice cant for a .338 Lapua. That'll put you right around the scope's axis at a mile.

                              That tells me you haven't.

FYI, the era of blowing the competition away is over.

You could just get a 30-378 and be done with it. I just bought another one off the forum.
