Please don't take this the wrong way - my goal is for you to have a more enjoyable experience at the clinic.
Your question does not make sense and tells me you may need a better undersanding of the minimal gear reccomendations.
A zero stop prevents the scope from being dialed very far below it's zero level. (stops the turret from going past zero). It is a helpful feature so as not to get lost in your turret rotations, but not essential.
"Zero your turret" means when you get dialed in at 100, you loosen your turret and set the markings to "O" so you have a refrence point as you move back at distance.
To get the most out your experience, your scope should have a finger adjustable elevation turret graduated in mils or MOA with the markings prominently displayed on the turret.
Have we had people come out with scopes with less features? Yes and we've managed to get them on paper at distance, but the only thing they really learned is that they should have brought the right scope if they ever plan on doing this again._____________________________________________

Misc.
I shot it last year, it was a lot of fun. I shoot long range BR there...from a bench, never prone before. I knew the ground was gravel so I bought the "F-Class feet" for an extra rest I have. Trouble is, they made the front rest too high, my rifle was aiming at the sky even with the rest all the way down. Fortunately, I had brought a couple pieces of plywood to put under the rear bag, just in case. I wish I'd had one more piece, I still had to raise the buttstock with my hand to shoot on target.
I realize you're using a different set-up and different stock but, make sure you can get your barrel slightly below and above parallel to the ground so you won't have the same troubles. Using sandbags front and rear, make sure they are stable. If you're wallowing all over the place, you'll be all over or off target too.
The only picture I have from last year, you can kind of see my set-up which still didn't work well...
If you have a shooting mat, bring it. I don't and didn't want to buy one for what may have been a one time deal for me. I did bring a padded yoga mat which was comfortable enough but still needed towels for my elbows.

I took a couple pix in the garage to try to give you an idea (different rifle, same model stock).
No plywood, rest almost all the way down (forgot to completely lower it for the picture), barrel pointed up = no good!

Plywood under rear bag, barrel nearly parallel...So close, but still didn't quite work!

So, hopefully this helps you or someone else that may be attending this year. Have fun.

OP - there are 2 clinics over the same weekend - One with the practical rifle crowd on Saturday and one with the HP/F-Class guys Sunday. Which one are you talking about?
I'm line coaching Saturday and am going to take the clinic Sunday.
My comments were in refrence to the Saturday clinic._____________________________________________

haha dont worry about it man I have a pretty thick skin and Im asking questions to make sure Im fully prepared for everything. I know what zeroing your scope is Ive just never owned a scope with zero stop before. the monarch I was talking about is a second focal plane with no zero stop and doesnt sound like it will be appropriate. my new scope that I bought for this class has it and all the other features you mentioned so Ill be familiarizing prior to april. also Im attending the 13th which is the sunday class. I tried getting into the saturday class but it had a 90 person wait list when I inquired about it so I wasnt able to make it in unfortunately. apologies if I didnt properly explain everything I was thinking about taking my lr308 as well but I think it would need a new scope to be able to keep up and I dont have the funds for that right now. thanks for your responses though I greatly appreciate it and if you need me to clarify anything for you Im happy to do so.Please don't take this the wrong way - my goal is for you to have a more enjoyable experience at the clinic.

hey rick thanks for the pictures and advice. Im thinking perhaps bringing books of various heights to help level everything and get it where it needs to be with the caldwell bags. I meant to go last year but didnt wanna do it alone. Im stoked to go with a buddy this year.Just a libertarian guy in a Leftist Authoritarian state.
