Been on my radar for a while now

With 527 so well received and loved, has its replacement been successful and is it a superior product?

No! The new CZ's[600's?], haven't been nearly successful or superior at all as the 527's and 457's were. CZ's albatross I suppose.

600s were recalled due to their barrel swapping scheme. I believe they removed that feature going forward. I think they got rid of the set trigger too.

600 Trail looks interesting. Haven't seen one in person.

Love me some CZ wood stock. I ordered one directly through CZ a few years back through the Hunter Safety Instructor program and the guy said , I will go pick the one with the nicest stock, boy was I impressed.

I had the CZ527 in Laminate in .223 for a few years. I put an optic on it and it shot great .5, .6 MOA at ranges I was a good enough shot to hit. Much more accurate than any of my other rifles save for my M1 Garand. Great rifle, I deeply regret selling it but had no choice because of divorce a few years ago. I will likely replace it and will buy another, I don't care if it has been lightly used. I recall it was difficult to sell also, but this was way before they discontinued the 527. Personally I think all CZs are kind of underrated other than the higher end target pistols, they sell for $$ but their normal handguns and rifles are mostly amazing for the money. Also have two CZ52s laying around and a BRNO ZKM-468 .22 LR single shot rifle, (BRNO was absorbed by CZ long, long ago)

Great little rifles. I had the x39 in the carbine version (I think). I put on a Leupold 14x scope and I think I managed around 1.5-2" @ 100 yards with Wolf hollow point steel case.

It found a good home with a fellow CGer.

Since the workmanship was very good and the price was excellent, I thought buying one might be some sort of trap.

Unfortunately used 527s on Gunbroker are going for a fortune. I see them at $1,500-$1,800 and not a lot of selection

They are such nice rifles. I have a pair of 7.62x39 I may eventually sell to standardize on 556 if interested

Would need to ship from TX to you though

I had the 223 for a while but never warmed up to it. I hated the mag sticking out the bottom, so I ordered new flush bottom metal and a flush mag, but still never loved it.

Sold it and bought a ruger 77/357 which I still have and consider my favorite rifle. Fitted with receiver sight and post front sight, great rifle with adult size stock all weighing in at 5.5 lbs!
