I didn't read those lefty ads so he is basically down to a BAT if he wants tight tolerances and a lapua sized boltface.
If he doesnt care about the tolerances any action with a lapua boltface will work.
Go on ebay and see what those factory bolts are fetching and you might have a change of heart.

Dont go on a tactical type forum for advice on accuracy as the accuracy needed is different for every form of shooting. The gun that won our 3K match was a Remington 700 in a McMillan fiberglass stock. My most recent worst purchase was a chassis stock. It cost twice what a McMillan cost and before i ever shoot it i will need to modify it.
If i was a sniper that opinion might change.
If you get up to NorCal on the 3rd sunday of the month i have most of the benchrest actions in everything from 14 Flea to 50BMG improved. You can try them before you purchase.

Here is an ad for a BAT tactical type action. It lists the bolt to reciever clearance at 0.0025 which is actually tighter than most tactical recievers on the market today.
I know its not a lefty just showing you the clearances.
