Much better flatter shooting calibers available than 7.62x39 for shooting tiny groups. This rifle most likely appeals to guys with ak's or sks's with a bunch of surplus ammo already.

Does it state anywhere the bore diameter?
Please tell me they didn't have to make the bolt all screwy just to get it to feed from a magazine, like Mossberg did.

And that's a problem because...?
Only reason I bought a .223 bolt gun was because it appealed to me as i own ARs and a bunch of ammo already.

The reason I sold my 7.62x39 bolt gun is that reloading that caliber isn't really a good idea. Surplus and Wolf is so cheap, but then the accuracy isn't there with that caliber. Traded it for a 30-06 to use as a deer gun. Better reloading support there.

Sure it will, maybe even cheaper - availability within the political boundaries of California is the issue. The rest of the country isn't California, never forget that.

You're right. But for us in California, once ammo can only be purchased via FFL. Prices will increase for us just like prices on pistols and other firearms which are higher in California compared to other free states.

I hope Ruger's American 7.62x39 is a winner too.
