Yes. It should have some. Not a lot, but somewhere around 7 to 10% is where most kiln dried walnut is dried to. The stock in the picture looks dry as Death Valley in July

When you package arrives at the facility it isn't handled that often by people. The machines do the sorting and some times things get caught on the conveyor system if they are out of line and could potentially cause damage to the contents. I believe that's what happened here. Probably on a machine moving quick, got stuck with some other boxes and took the wood out.
