So you are suggeting we should let the abosulte WRONG information stand without correcting it? That is how people get arrested. I understand there are forums that are better suited for debate and they should be brought into it, but miss information should be corrected, debated, etc. and not just left to stand.
As for the forward pistol grip on a pistol, the issue is not a State one it is a Federal one. There was a 2006 ATF open letter stating this on their website, but I having trouble finding it. So perhaps they changed their opinion?
This was the reason commercial pistol conversions of the HK MP5K for civilians changed the designs of the handguards to not have a forward pistol grip.
What the HK MP5K actually looks like.

Civilian Legal Version (Clone)

The above civilian legal version is still way too expensive for my blood. So a while back I built a 9mm AR Pistol. Here it is...

Most of the AR pistols you see are in 223 or 556. So it was a little on the unique side. I really enjoyed it, but needed to fund another project so it got sold off.
As for FVGs...I fully admit things may have changed since way back in 2006, but I would like to see evidence of it rather than just accept it just because a really smart guy on Calguns.net told me so.
I assume things haven't changed since everybody has made such a HUGE deal about the ATF's decision that the AFG is NOT considered a VFG.
