    Canik TP9 SA

Did a search and didnt see anything hope this is not a double post. Stumbled on to this video on James Yegar's channel. New single action TP9. There is a longer vid that goes into the companies work. Looks like a great deal on a good gun. Too bad we might never get to own one here.

Interesting, didn't know the updated the TP-9, have the original version. Good gun, not great. I'd like to check out the knew one.

On another note, not talking about the OP. But from reading the comments on you tube, still can't believe how many Yeager groupies there are.
Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.

I also have a Canik55 TP9 and it's a decent gun. The Turkish manufacturers will improve their guns with time as they get more experience and market share in the US. Maybe this SA version is the first step in that direction, so you're probably not missing much. Buy the Canik guns in 10 years, those will be better than the ones being sold now.

It looks like a nice gun. My problem with some of these guns coming in there isn't much in company support. Even though they are priced right Century Arms isn't like a Smith & Wesson or a Springfield. Say you need a extractor or a trigger spring a couple of years down the road are you going to be able to fix the gun? Century arms is an importer mainly. They just bring in guns and sell them.

            Not all of them.

Sarsilmaz has been in the gun business for over 130 years and produces all of the weapons for the Turkish Army; the 6th largest Army in the world.

            36 400 square meter = 391 806 square foot) indoor area.

Currently exporting to 72 countries, today Sarsılmaz exports a significant quantity of its products while it continues to be the first choice of domestic arms users. As a result of high performance of our products in tenders of Ministry of National Defence, all units of Turkish Armed Forces use Sarsılmaz fire arms. Our company is also well-deservedly proud of providing Turkish Security Organization with staff pistols for long years.

133-year experience, understanding of quality, and the will the make what has not been made enabled Sarsılmaz to be one of the leading light pistol manufacturers in Europe today.

They use some of the most advanced CNC machines in the the world. In fact from what I've read the big US companies don't even use the machines that they do.

If you care to find out more read this article on Sarsilmaz.

            Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I know what you mean by support from these companies, but until they establish US subsidiaries like Glock, Sig, or CZ, they'll go through Century. When I emailed Canik about replacement sights for the TP9, I got a reply from Christopher Jensen at Century a few weeks later about the part. It's not ideal, but that's what we'll have to deal with.

This is digressing away from the TP9, but yes, I do know about Sarsilmaz. I have a K2-45 and it's a pretty nice gun. You're right that Sarsilmaz has been around for a long time but they are still new to the US. I like to think SAR is where CZ was in the early 1990s in the US market. There were people saying the CZ75 was a piece of Eastern European junk and that's why they were selling for $350 out the door, but times have changed. SAR guns are a bargain now, but might not be if they catch on in the future.

Well I was reply to your generalization about Turkish firearms companies; which means you digressed from the TP9 before I did.

I agree. But in my opinion the SaR K2 .45 is much better in quality that the CZ ( Sorry CZ fans) better tooling, better stock trigger, better packaging, etc.

I should add too, that i read somewhere, you email Sarsilmaz directly for issues on your gun. Someone got a replacement part directly from them.

looks cool. but I do not like the de-cocker. that is probably a deal-breaker for me. KISS.

All my turk guns are great. Fit and finish is better that some firearms costing twice as much. Love my Hatsan Escort semi shotgun, my sar st10, and both my caniks

I'm suprised the TP9 SA doesn't have more exposure here on Cal Guns. After watching all the raving reviews on Youtube I knew I had to own this pistol before it became impossible to in California. So I just purchased one from an online retailer tonight.

OC Firearms told me they will be able to SSE so I will sending it to them. Hopefully I have it just in time to put under the tree.

Got one coming tomorrow to dros. At $350 shipped I figured why not since I'm looking for a more ergonomic glock replacement.

Sa with a decocker? Why? I rather get the old model.
