Looks like preppergunshop.com still has a couple in stock. They are California friendly and I had a no hassle experience with them. Within 5 days of purchase it arrived at my FFL dealer.

I just put a tp9sa in jail. The trigger is best I've personally felt in a striker fired pistol.

As for the beretta mags, it'll only take two minutes to make a couple of notches in the mags to make them work. I'm planning on modding a couple. I'll let you guys know if/how it works. They look identical to the beretta mags.

The grip reminds me of a Springfield XD.

I took mine out finally this past Thursday. It ran great with no hiccups in first 150rounds. Trigger smoothed up a touch. I particularly like the lower sights, made shooting at close distances much easier.

On my first cleaning I did notice some wear on the inside of the slide similar to the OP posted pictutes. Outside finish is flawlish, but the flat black cerakote is plain compared to a HK or even glock finish.

The trigger is the sweet point and the reset is better than a VP9 as in virtually no take up on sequential shots. However when dry firing there is a plasticy resistance felt midway during first trigger pull. I feel it is the safe action rubbing against the slide. But like i said it has smoothed up over time.

On another note, the more I shoot my "old" FDE TP-9 the more I like it. Put Dawson sights on it and can't seem to miss with it. Found a OD green one for $302, had to buy it at that price. I will also get the SA, but waiting for them to offer them in OD or FDE. What can I say, I'm a sucker for earth tone handguns.
With any luck my Canik collection with be at four by this summer.

I'm not sure if you've contacted them. They now have them for sale on their website, but the website has the 18-round mags...there's also a blurb that says:

No magazine over 16 round capacity available for sale in NJ; CA; DC; HI; MA; NY; MD; Cook County (Chicago), IL, Aurora, IL; South Bend, IN; Cicero, IL; CO and Franklin Park, IL.

Century needs to fix this...they should know they've a few owners in CA that bought the gun via SSE that need magazine support. They need to offer 10-round mags for CA owners on their web site.

As well, I currently live in VA, but will be moving my residency to CA this summer. That means, unless I stock up on mags for my TP-9SA now, I'm going to run into the same issue as keshishian101. I currently have two 18-round mags that I need to block to 10 rounds before the move (I've to do this with my SP2022's four mags as well). I'll have to do this to every damned weapon I buy before I move to CA, which is going to be a royal pain (those blocks aren't cheap, either).

I purchased a Sarsilmaz ST-10 9mm from Grabagun and I am not faulting them for not providing me with 10 round mags. I know what I got into when I purchased a SSE firearm.

Yeah, I didn't really post looking for agreeance. We're not really talking about SSE here, in my case, either, as none of my guns are SSE guns...they're straight-up non-CA variants, but I've more options than CA residents (at least, until I become a resident myself).

I was looking from the perspective of people who've bought guns that are not on the CA list (SSE) but would need to become in compliance. Sure, it's not your problem to care about...I get that, but how do they get mags if the manufacturer is refusing to ship to them since the mags aren't within compliance? Does this mean you've a gun but no mags? To follow your line of thought, they don't really need to cater to CA at all, or any state that had odd gun regulations. To say that is is a cop-out, IMO...with all due respect. If every gun maker on the CA approved list had the same line of thinking as you, there'd be NO DOJ-approved guns to buy.

I've been a CA resident before, so don't think I'm FOB. I've just never brought handguns into CA. From the view of a gun owner trying to comply to the odd statutes, it's a pain in the ***.

If you are out of state now, just buy some magblocks, pin them, and epoxy them, and you will be fine with bringing them into the state.

I doubt century will make 10 round mags. I just dont see enough people wanting them. My ffl has a high cap permit, and will block them for me. I'm just waiting for them to become available form vendors that will ship them to my ffl to be blocked. I purchased my tp9 from prepper gun shop. Ive spoken with them about mags, and when they can get them they will sell them to me. As for blocks, the sig p-250 magblocks work. They now have them listed for the tp9.

Recently added a second TP9(OD), it has not been fired. The FDE gun has only 600 rounds fired, but the he trigger is a night and day difference then the new gun. Shooting the "older" TP9s does wonders for the trigger pull, really like these guns. As stated earlier a TP9SA will follow.
