I have to go through a dealer because im getting a new gun. The new one must be registered to me and the old one needs to be unregistered to me. Im out $25, a very small cost for happiness. the dros is a DOJ requirement, theres no way around it. On a possitive not sense the gun will be at cz custom... I might have them install a few parts I was going to add down the road. That will end up saving me the money I would have paid in shipping it to them.

Also to clear up the issues I had with oak hill guns. Rob told me it was Cz custom who told them that he would deal with the problem and they didn't need to do anything. Again another thing CZ custom did in this situation right. Weather or not it was their fault or not. They stepped up and are doing the right thing.

That's pretty awesome of them to take on responsibility like that. Glad this all worked out in everyone's favour, including CZ Custom's.

I just got a shipping notice via e-mail and figure maybe my old gun showed up at cz custom today(shipped yesterday, est. Delivery is monday)so I open it, and its the shipping notice that cz custom shipped my new gun out to my fll. Delivery date is Tuesday. Talk about service. They shipped my replacement gun before recieving the old one. Only problem is I have to wait until the 12th to start the dros on the new one.(1 in 30 still applies I believe)

The OP is getting the run around. The ffl screwed up royally and needs to step up and do the legwork to trace the other gun. Period. Stop trying to make the guy feel better by suggesting the it does not affect this or that.
I'm surprised at how one party passes the ball to another and none of them have offered to trace the other one to make it right for the OP who is stuck with a pink elephant.
My suggestion is to insist that they track and find the missing part. You do not loose money or dros time that way.
The worst case scenario, a CZ part with your gun's serial number shows up at a less than holy scene!! and you can imagine the nightmare thereafter.

Seems like the dealer and the shop covered up their mess by offering a new one rather than tracing the miplaced part which may have led to opening other cans of worms for them.
I have no dog in this race, so if he is happy paying for another dros and losing a 1 in 30 on a gun that he already had, Im happy for him.

My happiness is that the issue has been resolved. The $25 I could care less at this point, beats paying almost a grand on a gun I wasn't happy with. Cz custom is in Arizona, so trying to get them to understand California laws is a waste of time. They've done the right thing here. If i had a complaint it would be the 1 in 30 law in general. I have one maybe two sse guns I want by the end of the year, so no big issue there.
