Fine then a ksg then.. Actually I have a ksg and they re perfect for HD.. But in all seriousness would the flash and sound of the AR pistol almost act like a flash bang..? Would disorient the bad guy?

Yeah the only problem with that is, besides the flash and bang. You got a high power .22 caliber projectile ripping through bad guy(makes the flash/bang unnecessary) or rips though a wall and hits your loved one or neighbor.

G19 or G17, largely because they have a rail and can carry a light (and would mount a TLR-1 with a remote switch in the role of "night stand gun"). My only remaining 1911, a Para P7-45 LDA, doesn't.

Everybody I've know that has a 1911 is always working on them and Glocks...................are just plain ugly!
Personally I prefer a .357 mag revolver or even better, a good old 12 gauge pump.
