Well guys I ordered a variety of ammo online. Will be asking Glock for 9mm3 followers and will be giving it another go.

I really appreciate all the help.

I just checked my Glock 17 10-rd mags (I have plenty) and they have the 2183-2 followers. My Gen 3 Glock 17 has seen 5,000+ rds with those mags and I can't recall any stoppages or malfunctions unless they were induced during a class to practice clearing them.

Something tells me it's more than just the mags. I seen a few times where the slide wouldn't slide completely forward after firing. I just to give it a slight push. I will use new followers and try other ammo. I don't see why PMC wouldn't work though as I've used it for years. We'll see. Thanks

Thank you. That's what I was afraid off, that the follower didn't matter. Now I'm really at a loss for a solution.

Would you mind selling me one or two of your mags to test in my G17?

Don't feel that way just yet. Not all Glocks or all guns are the same. The ammo suggestion might have sounded like a ridiculous idea to you since PMC works on your other guns without any issues, but try shooting more of other brands. Federal worked fine so shoot a bunch of it. Then try PMC again later and see.

Some guns just require a certain way to break in. They are machines and machines, despite being built almost the same way, can still behave differently.

Some ammo will just work better on a specific gun. It should not be a difficult reality to face. That's why there are different grains, different tips, different brands. A Glock, despite the reputation for reliability, is not immune to these kinds of issues. Maybe less common but definitely happens.

              Good luck!

Happens with my brand new 10rd glock 19 mags with both original 2183 and now 9mm3 followers. Nose dive straight into the feedramp and jam. The follower tilts down at the front causing the bullet to not be raised high enough. It is a systemic issue with these neutered mags. No issues with standard magazines.

Just wait for the followers, I but that clears up your problems.

If not then look elsewhere, but I'm pretty dang sure the followers are the problem.

Excuse me... if you don't mind, what are followers?

The piece of plastic (or metal) that you press bullets onto when loading a magazine.

Then, as the magazine is being used, the follower "follows" and guides the bullets up to the top.

Improper follower geometry (such as on various Glock magazines) can cause failure to feed malfunctions.
Fast is fine, but accuracy is everything.

This is a very common known issue with SD JHP ammo however FMJ deff should not be ftf that often. I've never had one with FMJ. However with sd JHP every final round of the magazine I get a ftf.

Some say then 9mm3 followers helped. Others have said that the 9mm3 didn't work and they need the mm6 versions (or whatever it was)

Checked my daughters mags and they are the 2183's no issues at all. Also are you sure that when you load the magazines your getting the rounds pushed all the way in?

So is it just the 9mm neutered mags?

Yup I tap the mags against my palm to make sure they are seated and I give the mag a good thump with my palm after loading it into the gun. I honestly dont think its the followers. I think its the ammo. Like someone here suggested, maybe its too lightly powered. When I used the federal I felt more recoil. But I did some research online and tons of people use PMC with their glocks no problem. I ordered a variety of ammo to test. When I go shooting again ill report back. At this point I think im just going to sell it though. I lost confidence in the weapon already. Never had a gun jam on me as much as this one has.

Thanks for all the help guys

Just adding in. I have a 3rd Gen G17 with 10 2183-2 10 round mags with no issues even with PMCs.
