Getting back to the program : That LC9 looks pretty amazing. I already have a 9mm, I'd like to broaden my horizons if you will. Even though I'm not the biggest fan of S&W, the shield looks something in my price range.

I prefer the Shield in 9mm to the LC9 - even the CA Shield. The LC9's I have experience with have the LCI too anyway.

Might as well consider the Sigs and the Kahrs while you are at it.

Well you can't have much more fun than with the right .22's at the range. You have your Glock 30 for when you get in all those pinches.

Long Guns? AR22, Sig 522, 10/22, Ruger American Rimfire, etc...

Pistols... Check out the Ruger Single Ten, or the Single Six with both cylinders (.22 LR and .22 Mag), the Mark III KMK 512, The Buckmarks, and my favorite the SP101 8-shot in .22 (I am trying to decide between the Single Ten and the SP101).

Shotguns? I prefer Mossberg 500's, but the older ones seem better to me. I also have an Escort MP-A which is real light and handy, fun too, sights are good for slugs... but I think a JMPRO 24" Mossberg would be insanely fun. If you are real tactical you could look at 930's like the SPX and Blackwater. I want a JM PRO 24 but have ZERO good reasons to get another shotgun.

SP101 w/ 3" barrel and nice wood boot grips. That's what I want when my SSE pistols are bought.

I have is exact same set up. I love it for carrying iwb. Carries very nice. I will say it's not fun to shoot. After about 20-30 magnum rounds my hand will hurt for a few days. .38spl isn't too bad. But your gonna need a second set of palms after 125gr Magum loads...

Set up a battleship target out at 25 yards and play battle ship with 22's. See how you do.

A SP101 is usually in the $550 range. The Badger boot grips are around $80 and its another $20 for a Wolff spring kit for a trigger job. I highly recommend the Wolff spring kit. I brought the trigger down from a stock 14lb double action pull to around 8lbs. Also smoothing things out and deburring really helps. At 8lbs the double action feels pretty dang nice.

The Ruger looks really nice, how much for the spring kit?

The Remington 870 is probably the cheapest next purchase, but I'm just worried how much I'll get to use it. At field times and firing line you must buy their shotgun rounds to shoot yours even. And I wanna say they're around $1 / round, rough estimate.

And yes, I'm aware of the assembly bill on Gov. Brown's desk, but I guess I'm not sure why it would influence whether I would buy a handgun via SSE or not.

For example, I'll probably pick up a Kahr CW9 or a shield, and/or an XD9-SC soon, but I plan on just simply buying them at my LGS

Nope its not the best for me, i bought it because i got a killer deal and it's fun to act like a kid sometimes. the gun for me is a .45. well at least thats the gun for me this far in this adventure called life.

My handgun list for this thing called life:

Ruger MarkII/III target .22lr (cut my 10in down to 8in).

Ruger SP101-5771 4in .357 (cutting down the target sights on mine for easier carry).

CCO 1911 (Commanders upper on an Officers frame).

TC Contender in .223, 45 Colt and several in between.

Personal favorite - SW 625 w/ .45Super for 10mm equivalence.

All usable in a pinch, I think we can all agree on that.
