So I guess the 4 people that John Hinkley shot with a .22 revolver were all faking injuries, since the bullets "barely pierce skin"? Let's not forget that one of the people shot that day was left with permanent brain damage (which allowed his wife to go on her anit-gun "crusade"). So that round went through the skin and one of the thickest bones in the body. One has permanent nerve damage from a spinal cord injury from that .22 round. One was in the hospital for 11 days after being struck in the abdomen. One ended up with a wound that traversed his lung stopping about an inch from his heart, oh and that round was a ricochet. So tell us again how a .22 "barely pierces the skin". While not ideal for defensive purposes it can and has been used in that role.

No one should buy a .22 in a hand gun selection. The only minus about the shotty is the ammo that I have to purchase at inflated prices at the ranges. We'll see, only time will tell. 1-.357, 2-pocket pistol, 3-.357

I say broaden your collection and buy a shotgun. Can't you go shoot at an outdoor range and bring your own shells or are you just limited to indoor ranges that require you to buy their shells? Sporting clays and skeet are much more fun than shooting a shotgun indoors anyway.

Nope its not the best for me, i bought it because i got a killer deal and it's fun to act like a kid sometimes. the gun for me is a .45. well at least thats the gun for me this far in this adventure called life.

Wasn't the .22 Beretta the weapon off choice for assassins or hitmen? Seams I've read something about that.
