Appreciate the suggestion. I would think that it's more difficult to get parts due to the scarcity of Guncrafters but let me know if my assumption is incorrect.

I haven't had any issue. They are extremely easy to deal with and will help you out with whatever you need. They also just launched their new online store and you can purchase parts from there.

From experience with both and both customer service depths, I vote Wilson whole heartedly pm me if you want to get into details and if you want to shoot one

I have a Baer and Brown. Last Friday I finally got to shoot a Wilson Combat. I think it was a CQB Elite. I now see what the fuss is all about. Eventually I want to own a Wilson.

I didn't realize he was talking about Springfield's custom guns, as they are very good guns. But to claim I know nothing is a rash statement.

sorry but what else would he have been talking about mentioning wilson and nighthawk in the same breath? you stated that they were not in the same league with the others. that statement would lead most logical folks to assume you knew something about springfield weapons.

You make a valid point, but people do cross-shop lots of guns in different price-ranges, and Springfield makes a lot of different 1911 models of varying quality.
