I just saw my first double wield low down from my buddy who has just about every gun you can think of. It was pretty awesome, I must say.

Okay, I'll ask. What, exactly, is a "double wield low down"?
Oh, and just for posterity, you buddy does not have just about every gun I can think of.

No.You always see in the movies, when SHTF someone doing the double wield option.
Effective or not? I know this might sound like a lame question but I've seriously been thinking, would it be better to have one pistol, or have two rallying off rounds at the same time. Thoughts?
There were some LEO's back in the day (pre-semi-auto duty pistols) that believed that going to a second piece was quicker than a reload, but they were still using one piece at a time. The way some gunshop clerks spout off, you'd think that they invented gunpowder and the repeating rifle, and sat on the Supreme Court as well.

If a noob lawyer shooting a borrowed gun for the first time can shoot this fast with two hands, why would you double-wield anything? There's a reason no one does it in the real world.

But I wonder in a cqb if you could make it work with lasers? Maybe a an auto pistol with laser like :

I think new shooters like SCE should master two hands on one gun first and then maybe try one-handed. Dual-wielding? SCE, please don't - at least not on a public range. How about working on putting 500 rounds through that "man cannon", er... Glock 30 first. That should take a couple years or so. Definitely do not buy a second hand gun to dual-wield. BTW, I am certain that lawyer (Colion) got good fast by taking classes and practicing what he learned in the classes on his own at the range.Comment

I'd be more inclined to think it would work with two of the right gun (light weight and balanced with little recoil impulse) and a great instinctual shooter point shooting while moving fast, no sights, no laser, no doodads, no slowing down. Still it would be hard to see in two directions at once. Video game crap. But I wonder in a cqb if you could make it work with lasers? Maybe a an auto pistol with laser like :

You are wrong sir... All navy seals are trained in dual wielding.. I know this for a fact, on many occasions my friend has me told so...I'd be more inclined to think it would work with two of the right gun (light weight and balanced with little recoil impulse) and a great instinctual shooter point shooting while moving fast, no sights, no laser, no doodads, no slowing down. If the guns are gold plated, crap like sight picture and ability to reload are really extraneous details.
You should try holding a gun in each hand (unloaded and cleared please) and see how difficult it is to maneuver, aim and dry fire. I don't think a Mythbusters was even needed for something so intuitively obvious imo
People thinking your an idiot on an internet forum is no big deal but I hope you can think, observe, and research on your own more carefully before you ask questions in your day to day to life. Especially if you know already it's going to be lame question. You don't want to be the butt of all the jokes.Comment
