What doesn't impress you about the Baer? I ask because I'm considering getting one down the road.

      Baer

Both my Baers are fantastic firearms. It's a semi-custom firearm at an awesome price. Don't listen to the Baer haters.

        Congrats. Very nice.
        I'm definitely getting that feeling!

I originally went in for a Sig P220 a couple months ago. Didn't have one, I would have bought it on the spot. But a couple 1911's caught my eye like they never did before and it started haha. Now the Sig P220 is still a few guns down the line. Oh well.

          Springer Trophy Match
          Springer TRP Full Rail
          Les Baer Premier II
          Les Bear Thunder Ranch
          Dan Wesson PM7
          Ed Brown Executive Target

These six 1911 work with every magazine I've tried. Only the Sig is magazine sensitive.

I also have a 1942 Colt 1911A1, but that thing never gets fired. It's just a piece of art now.
Ok sounds good, thanks. TRP is on my short term list to get.
          Nice collection

There's always people that don't like a certain brand, but that's ok. I'm thinking of getting a stainless one. Only because I have a blued CZ97 and while it's beautiful to look at, it's a pain to keep clean. Any experience with stainless vs blued Baers?

                TRP

                You will love the TRP.

Mine's a beater. The finish is probably at 50% lol, but after 5,000+ rounds I don't think I've had one failure.

It's been an amazing piece of machinery.

                  Baers Stainless vs Blued

My premier II is stainless and the thunder ranch is blued. I'm partial to stainless as it just looks sexy to me, but you can't go wrong with either.

I personally believe stainless is easier to maintain after many many years of use.

lol, I'm lucky you can't really see the dent very easily on mine. You can turn it certain ways in the light and catch it if you're looking for it.

Haha alright I will thanks for the heads up.
I've had a detent pin go supersonic past my face when removing takedown pin from my AR

I was going over many 1911's and I was set on a Kimber Eclipse Custom ii but was waiting for a clean one to pop up and then this Sig BOGO sale came up and I couldn't pass. I'll still get the Kimber, but this was a good last minute adjustment to my gun acquisition plan

Nice gun, I have the same one and love the look with the rail.

Went out shooting in the desert tonight. Got to use the night sights and they are awesome.

Gun is such an experience to fire. Really amplifies my good feelings around the purchase.

Got about 70 rounds down the pipe.
I was also shooting my AR, XD, and shotgun. Shot about 100 shotgun shells.

Wanted to clean the 1911 before more rounds. It failed to feed a round twice. Each time was in the middle of the mag. Gonna break it in and maybe try some other mags
