    First 1911!!

Crazy excited to take her out.
This is also my first handgun in six years!
I was going over many 1911's and I was set on a Kimber Eclipse Custom ii but was waiting for a clean one to pop up and then this Sig BOGO sale came up and I couldn't pass. I'll still get the Kimber, but this was a good last minute adjustment to my gun acquisition plan

I just recently added the Sig 1911 Scorpion to my collection and it's a beautiful handgun. Sig makes great weapons, just make sure you break it in properly.

Also check the mags that came with it. If the follower has the little plastic bump in the middle of it, and you have any FTF, then upgrade your mags to HD Chip McCormick mags...

Nice, very nice.. I do not own any 1911, but maybe someday I will and it will be either Sig or SA.

                    Scorpion looks real nice!
And yes my magazines do have that bump. Is that what the patent is pending for?

So HD Chip McCormick? Why not the other one, wilson combat? I see them both thrown around.

Any reason some people go with a flush base magazine rather than one with a pad?

Very nice! Personally, I hate the giant "memory bump" on the grip safety on Sigs, very uncomfy for my giant fat palms.

Chip or Wilson, you can't go wrong! Not sure why the bump on the magazine follower, someone once explained it to me, but I can't remember.

You go the -CA model yes? Can you tell us if it has a LCI and mag disconnect? Mine is the non -CA version and was wondering about any differences.
