I started last year by buying a Christmas present to myself with a Sig. Then like every gun owner, one should own a 10/22. But that wasn't "enough" rifle for me so I built an AR that took 2-3 months (at the worst time, but I only bought when the price was right). I felt my arsenal was a little lopsided (not really since I didn't have many) so I rounded it off with a shotgun...and within the last 2 months, I got 4 additional handguns in jail or en-route.

My excuse is that SSEs maybe going by the wayside (I haven't kept up with the legislation, I know, bad me) so I'm buying the off-roster handguns now and ask questions later!

2 years ago I owned 1 pistol that I bought on a whim after going to the range with a friend and had no real interest in guns.... now I m constantly on calguns. Have more rifles and pistols than I ever thought I would be interested in. The uncertainty of CA laws have only poured gallons of gasoline on my "gun-hobby/addiction"..and I have no money left because I ve spent almost all of it on guns and ammo the last few months... lol

Thank you Obama, Biden, Feinstein, Yee, Steinberg...

Yep. A big shout out to all the stupid gun grabbing politicians. Up until December 2012 I had an old CO2 BB Pistol in my bathroom drawer. Now, I Have built four AR-15 pattern rifles (three went to my sons as gifts), bought an M&P 9mm, Marlin 60 (then converted to FN2000 body for my daughter), Marlin 795, my wife bought a Browning 1911-22. To top it all off I finally got my dad to give me his fathers 1919 L.C. Smith 12 guage (just so I can do Joe Biden proud).

A debt of gratitude goes out to them, my family is now armed and we love to shoot together.

I got a friend into guns about 2 months ago, and now he has more guns than I do, and I have been a gun owner for 18 years. Needless to say, he also makes a lot more money than I do. lol

I've got a bunch, and most I can pretend to justify by saying "Well, I bought that to shoot at matches" but then I rarely even go to matches. My problem is that I'll obsess over a gun until I buy one, so for my mental health, it's better for me to buy it rather than keep wasting time thinking about it.

                          I'm mostly "done". Though I could use a G17 or M&P 9.

And as a warning, if you ever start going to matches, you'll start accumulating again. Shoot skeet? Well, heck no you need an O/U 12 guage. Shoot USPSA/IPSC? Well you'll need one gun for every division. Watched a cowboy movie and want to shoot CAS? That's another 4 guns. Shoot silhoutte? Gotta get that rifle I saw that other guy use! Watched "Hell on Wheels?" dang, buy a black powder gun. Watched Dirty Harry? S&W Model 29 is on the list ....... etc, etc, etc, etc ...

Pelican 1400 for the handguns, $20 LAPG range bag for the ammo and mags, stapler, etc. Works great for me.

I wish I could afford more but it's a very expensive hobby. In a good way.

How much do you guys make in general to buy one fire arm a month? Well over 100K I'm assuming? Or just have alot of savings.

I think my next purchase will be a nice revolver! .357?
