I do this with everything. At one point I was collecting fine pipes. Bulldog is still my favorite style. Car parts at one point. Guns right now. I am active duty, but didn't buy any until last November. Now I have 5 and have sold/traded 2.

Don't forget that with the micro stamping, the roster is going to get very small quickly.

Hahaha, the junkie twitch; i love it. That and the anxious shakes. Ya, I'm on my 3rd year and things finally sobered up a bit. Like you, my 1st year was a "1 gun a month fix" marathon. Once you have a decent collection, it'll slow down a bit. As crazy as it sounds, the only therapy to the gun addiction is to overdose...Last edited by GunHo; 09-06-2013, 3:50 PM.Comment

LOL, I have to admit, the current political environment has encouraged me into sort of a buying frenzy. So i started out the year with zero weapons. Now within the last 3 months i have
a Benelli m3 s90, Daniel Defense custom ar-15, Savage .308 bolt rifle, S&W 629-4 , HK45 in jail and i an already looking for my next buy. What gives ??? i can't stop looking for guns to buy.
Does it ever stop or at least slow down ???
I think i'm even getting the junkies twitch when i'm not looking at guns/rifles

it never slows down (though you may take a break from it, the moment you come back you want to make up for lost time.)
Really few things as fascinating as connecting to the inner workings of simple hunks of metal that have saved lives in multiple ways and toppled entire empires.
Maybe better is the basic sensation of projecting your will, instantly, across space to punch a hole in a target, smash a clay, make a pumpkin go "splat" or take down a beast to feed you and yours.
Oh, and they go boom really good!

I got my first handgun last July. In the year and change since then, I've bought and sold a total of eight of eight handguns.
I also collect wristwatches; part of it is I appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into both guns and watches.Comment

Welcome to the vortex. As some posters stated, you may next get into reloading. I did. And don't believe hype about "saving money"! You will only come out ahead if you reload every single component you have... yeah right, that is never going to happen! This reloading venture only leads to more stashing / hoarding of powder, primers, bullets, brass, etc. Certainly, you need to have dies and other tools for every caliber in your arsenal! It never ends... you are one of us. Welcome to the "house"!Comment
