I was the same way initially, I couldn't stop myself. The obsession will slow and you will return to another hobby or interest of yours. Then a few months later you'll return to firearms, It comes in waves like that.

Just enjoy the ride and try not to obsess too much.

To prevent this from happening to me, I will choose very wisely about what I need and want for specific situations or adventure. I will be setting my own limits. Possible limit would be one firearm for every caliber, but that would still be much. I am not going to buy a gun just because it would look good in my closet.

If you have 10 firearms, how many times would you shoot per firearm per month, per year? I'd guess a slim amount. I'm just saying most of the times your investment will be stored away, collecting dust.

Your choices remind me of my brother. Never into guns up until a couple of months ago.
He starts with a Sig226 BTFO 9mm, then a Mossberg 590A1 SPX, then a Benelli M4 (loaded w/ Freedom Tactical and Mesa Tactical goodies), and just jailed a LWRC M6A2 SPR. He says he's done but I know better.

I hate to say it but it is true, if it was not for Calguns I would still only have my 12g, tok, and an old yugo (these 3 were my first) but since CG I have had many boating accidents.

Its not an addiction or sickness. It is an absolutely normal and rational response to the attack on our civil liberties as well as the constant pressure of discrimination we feel as gun owners.

The addiction and sickness belongs to the statists and their mental illness.

Yeah, me too. I now have all but one of what I've been seeking. Found it, but need to wait a couple of weeks. I buy what I want, shoot what I bought and no regrets!
Now, Let the ammo collecting begin. Or safes - yeah I'll need more safes, for the ammo, that's it...

Something that has helped me keep down the buying frenzy is to make sure you go and shoot a gun as soon as you get it. I've noticed a lot of people keep buying and selling without ever shooting them

My addiction is getting worst and it is not even funny . That's it...I am not buying any more.

Well, with one exception though...I will only purchase a USP Expert 9mm if I can find one with a decent cost.
