Problem with Glock

That's not a problem with a Glock... that's a problem with a non Glock part.

Lesson to be learned here, don't use aftermarket **** in your Glock.

If you want a Glock 19, buy one.

I disagree. I have had this same thing happen, and it was the reloads I bought at a gun show.*I have a compensated aftermarket barrel for my G22. When I go to the range, I always shoot with the stock G22 barrel first.Then I swap out to the comp barrel. This failure occured on the stock barrel.

My barrel was able to slide like 1mm back but that was it. After me trying for about 10 minutes, I had the range officer do it. The range officer was a real buff dude! After about 10 minutes of the slap and rack, he finally got it. I asked what he did different. He said procedurally nothing different to what I was doing except he was stronger than me.

I guess my two points are: dont knock aftermarket barrels and leverage is your friend (not to mention safety).

True, but he'd have to separate the slide from the frame in order to do it, and that's not easy to do with an out of spec round that's stuck 3/4 of the way into a super tight chamber. Not to mention it's a 9mm case being pulled by a .40 S&W extractor.

No you don't, all you need to do it get the rear of the slide back far enough to get the plate off. That will release the pressure on the striker and that along with pulling the slide lock, the slide should come off as normal.

Out of curiosity, I just tried to do this. The slide plate cover didn't budge.

The gun with the problem is a Glock, so it is defiantly a Glock problem.
You guys need to quit being so insecure, the OP is not saying his Glock is a pile of dung. He just has a problem with his GLOCK, that he would like to fix.
No matter what caused the problem, the problem is his GLOCK is INOP and he wants it to work again. So yes the problem is with the GLOCK.

True. You wouldn't have had this problem with an AK since you'd probably only be using factory / milsurp and not reloads, and with a revolver, you would have immediately noticed an improperly resized casing / out of spec round when you load the cylinder.

I'm in NorCal, Solano county and I can help you.

I have several Glocks in 40 cal that I converted to 9mm using LW 40-9 conversion barrel. I ended up getting the chambers reamed due to the tight chamber specs of LW barrels. The reloaded rounds that would function 100% through my Springfield 1911 9mm weren't reliable through the LW 40-9 barrel resulted in failure to feed. I had to use a small base resizing die, but since my die required lubing it's just too much dang work. Reaming the chamber fixed the problem.

The problem is the aftermarket barrel is about .005 smaller in the chamber . I had the same thing happen in my Glock 22 with my reloads . Since I am a machinist I bored my chamber out and now the storm lake barrel is flawless .
