    $$$$

Regardless what we think (or want for that matter), HK thinks they can no longer compete w/ all the plastic out there. Expensive tooling, machining, craftsmanship. Looks like the good 'ol days have departed on a rail.

I don't like the USP too much (I assume you meant USP when you said UPS) rather buy a 1911. I am going to see if I can haggle him down to $1000. I will call him right now.

BTW: are those mags HK mags or does another company make them? I would only want new HK mags to put in such a fine pistol.

FYI: He said "Under 1000 rounds" and it does not have one single blemish on it at all, even when you take the slide off. He kept it well lubed and everything.
      woops!, yes USP

      yes HK factory.

if you can get it for $1K you did VERY well.

good luck, the P7M8 is an awesome piece.

UPDATE: I haggled with him a bit about the missing mag, and the warning label and such - I got him down to $1000.00. But I have to drive to his FFL (we were going to meet somewhere in between).

So $1000 for a visually flawless P7M8, everything but 1 mag is missing and under 1000 rounds though it. Ya or Nay? I am leaning towards driving out there now if you guys post your thoughts fast enough!

          To OP,
Once you acquire the P7M8, take out the grips. You will see for yourself the engineering marvel of the HK P7M8, inside.

I have one thanks to another CalGun member.

not to rain on your parade..but that is some of the ugliest plumming i've ever seen on a P7..

Back on topic.. i think 1000 bucks is a great price if the condition is as you describe.. Check the piston.. if the edges are still nice and sharp (not rounded) it's a good sign that it hasnt been shot much..

If it's something you want.. then 1000 bucks isnt much.. i bought my P7M8 a few years ago from a guy on Sigforum.. Excellent condition, 2 mags, scraper, brush, owners manual.. and it didnt have that stupid warning on the side..

To me it was exactly what i wanted.. I was willing to pay for that.. luckily i was the first one to "I'll take it" for 1200.. i wasnt gonna haggle.. its only a few bucks and now that it's been a few years.. I dont lament it at all.. Realistically, I could probably sell it close to that, if not more in a few years..

Go buy it! They are great pistols. You've been wanting one for some time. Under 1k rounds fired is nothing. It sounds prestine.

After you get it, stop shopping. This way you can enjoy your gun and not kick yourself if you happen to find a better deal. I think it is a very fair price.

                          Buy it.
Last P7M8 I saw was at Stevenson's Gun Country in Burbank, it was going for $1300, $1249 cash.

Combat - the plum is very cool, some people just don't see it. I used to have an SL7 with a plum reciever and it grew on me. Some nills would contrast the plum if you are so inclinded...

Waingro - congrats on your purchase.
