That would be relevant if he scratched a sub 100 serial ## of a saut after cowboy revolver.. Then it would be more a fair comparison and I'd have some compassion.

A tool is a device used to carry out a specific function. How a gun can be a tool, but a watch cannot is beyond me.

As for the other part, I was not replying to the OP. In fact, if you look earlier in the thread you will see I got the OP to clarify that it was transfer rather than a scratch. Metal transfers can be buffed out fairly easily.

I was replying to daybreak, who said men don't care about marks on their tools. I responded with "depends..." which by plain logic would indicate that I was arguing against his absolute statement rather than comparing a Sig to a Rolex.

Ok maybe to Webster.. I don't really care what you guys classify as a tool your way of thinking your life.. Webster might wright the defanition for a tool.. But pretty sure the Stone Age would HIGHLY differ.

But if your only allowed one tool for basic survival you guys enjoy that book.

So if only Stone Age tools count, then how do guns and metal hammers make the cut? Pretty sure none of those were around back then.
