    Question about FFL's PPT?

    Guys... I have a question.
Is the FFL dealer who opens the business 7 days a week only accept the Private Party Transfer on thursday a legal?
Isn't it illegal to reject the Private Party Transfer because of they don't make money out of it as long as they do sell the guns with their FFL License?
They onle did the PPT during the weekday and now they are telling me they will do the ppt service only on thursday.
    Thanks in advance for answers.

Yes, they are supposed to do it during normal business hours.

Sounds like you need a new FFL, and that particular FFL won't be in business much longer.

            Wondering...what is illegal??

For a dealer to choose when to do a PPT?

            I started to look at

Firearms Dealers Links to Topics below General FAQs DROS Entry System (DES) Internet Process AB 1872/2165/2699 Dealer FAQs General FAQs What are California's licensing requirements for firearms dealers? How much is the annual Centralized List fee and when must it be paid? What is a California Firearms Dealer (CFD) number? Do I need to send copies of my dealer's Federal Firearms License and local firearms license(s) to DOJ? How is DROS information submitted? How do I get copies of the blank DROS worksheet? How can I correct or cancel a DROS submission?

            and http://wiki.calgunsfoundation.org/Bu..._in_California

            Thanks.

They probably already know. You can report them to Cal DOJ if you feel like it but I would probably just spend my money elsewhere (even if it is only $10 for a PPT).

Get a new FFL to do your business with and file a complaint about the POS that is violating the law.

Thing is they only took 5-10min for the PPT. Other place? take atleast 30min-1hr these day.
That's why I prefer to go that place

                    Then go on Thursday.
                    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Did you submit a written request to do a PPT?

Also, since they are not refusing to do a PPT, what's the issue? Do you really think it's up to you to decide when the business can fit you into their scedule? I'd just find a quality FFL to do business with and don't give this one a single dime.

People put up with so much bull**** as consumers in this particular sector and somehow convince themselves that "it's better than nothing." Don't let crappy shops hold you hostage. Would you dine at a restaurant that ignored food safety regulations?

Owners son's wife ask us to stop bring the guns for PPT.
She told us that it has lot of documents to fill out and they only make little money out of it.
They make people feel like they are doing favor for them... alot.
I'm not trying to ruin business for their shooting range (I have year membership with them) but I just want to find out that it is right or wrong to refuse PPT so please don't leave me a message says that just go to other dealers.

BTW this is what I found

They need to do the PPT on their business hour.

                              We already said it's illegal.
