Very interesting and strange...wonder if they are talking with their own legal counsel to combat these attempts at creeping regulation.Just got an lcp from we the people today. It was the last sse they can do for 180 days for some reason. The doj is playing games with them and making new fud rules by the minute! Prk does not have any xds right now i was there saturday and asked specifically to see an xds. Spencers firearms in madera DOES have xds in stock in 45acp and they are great people to deal with. Hope this helps.

12 hours of driving equals how much in gas? you have count that too. I would go with which ever is cheapest once you add how much gas you're going to spend.sigpic PM 4 Front Sight diamond

Huh, I wonder what parts he's looking for. I called up SA the other day to ask for an extra XDS recoil spring assembly and they were more than happy to sell it to me. If it's a barrel, I'd imagine they'd send one for the right price. I guess if he's trying to figure out the mag lock, that could take awhile longer.

No, he needs a very long barrel to meet both barrel length and overall length requirements, then he needs a magazine sled to prevent insertion of magazine and thus make it a "single shot".Huh, I wonder what parts he's looking for. True I've considered that, but gas is worth spending to minimize the headache I'm experiencing with Valkyrie Arms at this time. I don't want to go through this again. All this wouldnt be happening if it wasnt for them. Now I just need for them to get a hold of me so I can get these pistols out of that place. I thought the CA 10 day wait was bad. The Valkyrie fallout my transferred XDS has been in jail since 11/26 waiting for SSE. Hence why I was looking at EBR. I need a new FFL that does SSE on this pistol, granted it's not lost or they ever iron out this mess.Last edited by vr6veedub; 12-07-2012, 12:01 AM.Comment

Right... the reason I mentioned getting the barrel from SA is that if he could get an OEM barrel and weld a .45ACP extension to it, that would cover the barrel portion of the equation. If that's what's holding it up, a phone call to Springfield might get the ball rolling. If it's the single shot sled, I've got no bright ideas there.

The problem is that this costs money. Smaller shops will have one conversion kit which must pay for itself over certain number of conversions to make it profitable. If there is a lot of demand, shops will create several conversion kits and run them in parallel.Right... the reason I mentioned getting the barrel from SA is that if he could get an OEM barrel and weld a .45ACP extension to it, that would cover the barrel portion of the equation. For most guns the demand tends to be either sporadic, where a few days wait is not a big deal, or so high that there are not enough guns in stock, where having multiple conversion kits wouldn't speed up the process since the guns are not available.sigpicNRA Benefactor MemberComment
