Have you checked Wild Bill's in Elk Grove? Believe they do SSE on the XDS.

Instead of transferring a gun in and paying the $99 transfer fee, why not buy one since EBR has them in stock?
Was it 750$ for the bi tone version or all black?

EBR Works has sold me firearms before, you absolutely cannot go wrong with EBR. The 6hr drive will be worth it and you will make the deal confident and relaxed. Spend a few more bucks to have your mind relaxed.

+1 for EBR Works. SSE'd my .40 PPQ through them last April, top notch service. It's a 1.5 hour drive each way for me and it was worth every minute for such a smooth transaction

I have a 1911 that's getting a SSE done with EBR, they've been very helpful and I've heard nothing but good things about them. I have no doubt that I will be another one to chime in on the good service. I know it's a long drive, but sometimes the extra money that is spent is worth the peace of mind of knowing that the job was done right. 6 hours is a long drive, I'm about 2 hours from them so I can sympathize. You might want to make the drive with a friend just to pass the time. Maybe try to get down here early, then go out to a nice dinner. I don't know which way you'd be coming, but if you're coming down the 5, stop by Harris Ranch, great steaks.

Just got an lcp from we the people today. It was the last sse they can do for 180 days for some reason. The doj is playing games with them and making new fud rules by the minute! Prk does not have any xds right now i was there saturday and asked specifically to see an xds. Spencers firearms in madera DOES have xds in stock in 45acp and they are great people to deal with. Hope this helps.

They do SSE the XDS but not on transferred guns. You have to buy it from them. I already have the pistol

I think Sac Black Rifle does SSE for the XDs.

Wow man.. I commend the effort in obtaining an XDs.

May you find an XDs SSE FFL in your future.

                        You'll love the XDs!

I can only comment on EBR which is an excellent FFL, best service, and all around great people.
I've made multiple purchases , they are 90 minutes from me and it's pretty much a 1/2 day for each purchase given the drive but its worth it.
if you want to extricate yourself, and not worry about it getting done right they will do it right.
BTW for alll that service his pries are competetive.

I had good luck with PRK in Fresno with my latest SSE. They simply charged me MSRP (which of course is more than "street price") for the gun, +DROS.

Someone mentioned Spencer's. They wouldn't do the SSE on my gun. Without getting into too much detail (they are members here), I don't buy from them.

Had PRK do one XDS in Fresno and another at the PRK store in Visalia, both stores were pleasant to deal with, no issues at all
