I had black talons in my 40 for a while but after thinkin about it I didn't want to rely on ammo that I had not fired a couple hundred rounds reliably

I think it's unnecessary for me to have my guns loaded next to my bed. I know we live in a free country and can have a loaded gun in the house, but come on guys. This makes me feel like I living in the war zone again. This is USA; it's the safest country in the world not to mention we are in CA.

Besides, do you know how much it costs to shoot someone even though it's a self defense case? And the hassle you have to deal in court? I would like the PD deal with all this drama.

And do you know how much it costs to bury a family member or yourself?

Fyi, the longest I've been put on hold after dialing 911 was 20 minutes. Listened to the messages in English and Spanish saying to stay on the line, all dispatchers are busy at the moment, over and over.

The longest I've waited for the police to show up after calling 911 was 45 minutes. Okay, it was Saturday night in San Fran, but that is still just a tad slow... Luckily, it wasn't a life or death situation for me, but it could have been for the people we were calling about...

A lot of bad things can happen in 20-45 minutes, much less 3 - 15 minutes.

As to CA being safe, in my family alone, if you include grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, etc., letsee, we've had 1 armed home invasion, 1 attempted home invasion, 2 knockdown muggings of seniors, 2 armed robberies, several burglaries, stolen and torched car, 1 assault/beating of female minor (for no reason), stray bullets from drive-by down the street hitting our house... This occurring all over SF and Bay Area suburbs. And, no, we don't all live in da hood..

The home invasion guys were in and out in minutes. The muggings and street robbery lasted just a few minutes.

I have been in that situation i would prefer to risk being judged by 12 then get carried out by 6.

As far as guns go i have them all over along with my other family members with their own guns. I have my saiga loaded with jacked hollow points next to my bed along with a shotgun....

12ga under the bed,glock19 in the nightstand when they come in & 91/30 for the runner.loaded not chambered no kids.Couple years back had a guy trying to ditch the cops, crashed our gate, pushed the car over the bank and went running across the property with a couple of long guns. Never heard if the cops caught him. I was not home at the time. You never know what is going to happen.
