One day I want to build a replica of the "Company gun" from the TV series Heroes. They were build by Strayer Voigt - Infinity. Way down the road for one that nice. Especially since Cal laws make it hard to get a compensated barrel.

Barrel looks long enough for single shot, just have to put a sled in.

No need for single shot. SVI is on "the list". Just have to order the gun with the comp soldered on.

I'm a long time Sig fanatic. However I will never buy a 1911 with an external extractor. I got a Kimber TLE and LOVE IT! Well once I swapped out that ugly FLGR for a GI plug. Now it's perfect

I've taken the Kimber out to the range a couple of times now, and all I can say is wow. The trigger breaks like scored glass. At 10 yds, I was able to put all my shots within a 6" group. Most falling within about 3". 250 rounds and no issues at all.

            Thanks everyone for your input.

I heard about all the "horror stories" and "internet whaaaaarglbargl" on Kimbers, but ended up with a Custom II regardless... It was a fantastic choice for my first firearm, and has been flawless with 450 rds through it thus far. I like the ss finish, and replaced the rubber grips. It's a great gun to own!
